Catastrophic Engine Failure. So, I have a 2017 Duke 390. Purchased new in 2017. All serviced per the manual, last oil change was 1000 miles ago, this year. Only 4600 miles, and it's been a pure joy. I checked the oil about 2 months ago, after the service, and it looked clean and good. Hadn't ridden it in a about a month.

There is a standard of care that is either not required by KTM NA or very poorly implemented. A dealer should either meet that standard or move on. BMW is way better when it comes to requiring dealers to meet the requirements of the job. Part of the problem may be that ten years ago KTM was 90% dirt only and 100% of the bikes had a carburetor.
