Camera-wise, the X cannot compare to my previous Pixels. But it works fine and I avoid using it for evening and night shots. Battery is currently at 80% health. iOS still works relatively well on this old X. Still remarkably smooth and stable. I must say that the build quality of the X is impressive. But the fact is, the support is longer than that. Recent example, last year Apple announced to end support for iPhone 7 and 7 plus and it made them stopped receiving new features update after 6 years. So you can use 5 years as your anchor.
